Simple Simply Succulents
Happy Friday, Stamping Friends! I don’t know about your area, but Winchester has experienced all four seasons this week. Goodness, it’s been a wild ride. Earlier in the week, it was really warm, so we had the A/C on. Today, it was freezing in here. (Ok, it was about 63 degrees, but it felt like it was freezing after crawling out of warm, cozy blankets!) Why is it that 63 degrees seems so warm after frigid winter temps, but after 80 degree days, it feels so chilly?
I have to say, I love succulents. Not growing them, of course. I am not an expert at growing anything. But I love using them in greeting cards and other projects. And the Simply Succulents Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!® is so much fun to work with. Here’s a card that was inspired by the Stampin’ Up!® concept artists.
This is such a simple card. First, I stamped the image from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape Classic Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then I used Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends to color the image. I added some die-cuts in Gold Foil, then stamped the sentiment using Gorgeous Grape Classic Ink on Cinnamon Cider Cardstock. I notched one end of the sentiment layer with scissors.
I added the die-cuts to the stamped layer, then added that to a Pool Party card base. Then I added the Cinnamon Cider sentiment layer to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I love that this card uses very few materials – one bundle, one stamp pad, three colors of card stock, foil sheets, and one set of Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have a Stampin’ Emboss Machine, you can use the In Good Taste Elements instead of the Gold Foil Die-cuts. Since these are retiring, they have been discounted, but order soon! They’re available only while supplies last.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

I love the look of succulents too, but I’ve never tried to grow them. They look perfect on your card, and I love the colours!

I love the look of succulents, but I can’t grow them either. I tend to either under or over water plants. One day, I may figure it out. In the meantime, I’ll stamp them.
