Falling Leaves

Autumn Accents, Sizzix, Big Shot, Gently Falling, Day of GratitudeFall is quickly approaching the Shenandoah Valley!  The temps are actually warmer in the house than outside.  This is my favorite time of year.  I love the colors, sounds and smells of fall.

I made this card using the Autumn Accents Sizzix Bigz Die (in the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday catalog), the Woodgrain embossing folder, and the Falling Leaves and Day of Gratitude stamp sets.

I die cut several leaves from the folder, scrunched them and inked them so they’d look a little more real, then added them to a More Mustard layer.  I ran the whole layer through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain embossing folder to embed the leaves into the embossing.  Don’t you love the glimmer paper?  This is Champagne (in the Holiday catalog) cut with the Labels Collection framelits.

With a little change of sentiment, this would make a nice birthday card for a man – which is what it was supposed to be, but somehow it turned into a Thanksgiving card.  Funny how that happens!

Have a wonderful day – and thanks for stopping by!
