Mountain Sunset
Welcome back, my friends! Here’s the card I promised on Monday. It’s for our demonstrator team’s challenge. Five of us just threw out a color off the top of our heads. Strangely enough, they all go together really well. The challenge is to use at least three, and the colors are Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, and Night of Navy. Because they coordinate so well, I used all five.
I used the beautiful Mountain Air Stamp Set with the coordinating Majestic Mountain Dies. First, I stamped the mountains using Night of Navy Classic Ink, then I turned the stamp over and stamped the reverse side, stamping off one time before stamping over the mountains. I die-cut them and set them aside.
Next, I stamped the tree line and meadow in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink on a separate piece of Basic White Cardstock, and die-cut that. Next, I sponged Mint Macaron Ink over the rest of the Basic White panel using a Blending Brush. I stamped trees along the bottom of the Basic White (now Mint Macaron) piece in stamped off Evening Evergreen, then stamped a few to die-cut.
I sponged the edges of the die-cuts to minimize the white, then sponged another piece of Basic White using Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya for a sunset. It seemed fitting since we were going to the mountains!
After I stamped the birds in Night of Navy Ink, I layered the pieces together and glued it all to a Calypso Coral card base. The sentiment, from the Forever Fern Stamp Set, is also stamped in Night of Navy. Or maybe Evening Evergreen. It’s hard to tell on the Mint Macaron background and it’s been a week since I made the card. I’m pretty sure I used Night of Navy, though.
Thanks for being patient, and for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
