Las Tres Amigas Stamp Off
Welcome to another Stamp Off! Friday with Jackie, Susan, and me. Our theme this week is “Three Amigos,” but I decided to feminize it since Susan, Jackie, and I are three friends. The idea for this challenge was to use three of something. It could be colors, panels, stamps…whatever we chose to use.
I just got my latest order this week, and one of the products was the Picture This die set. I decided to use the three rectangle die-cuts with the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle. If that bundle doesn’t sound familiar to you, it’s because it’s not “out” yet. It will be in the July-December Mini Catalog beginning August 3. A perk for being a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator is that we can preorder products a month early. The choice to use the leaves with the frames was an easy one. Of all my new stamp sets, these fit the frames the best.
I die-cut the windows/frames from the You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper (DSP), then placed it over a Pale Papaya card base.
Next, I lightly marked with a pencil where the frames’ boundaries were so I’d know where to stamp backgrounds. I used Crumb Cake, Cinnamon Cider, and Calypso Coral for the backgrounds in the frames.
I stamped the leaves on a separate piece of Basic White Cardstock using Bumblebee, Cajun Craze, and Merry Merlot Classic Ink. I die-cut them with the coordinating Intricate Leaves Dies (and, as always, I bundled the stamps and dies to save 10%), then adhered them in the frames. I stamped the sentiment from the Sweet Little Stockings Stamp Set (another one coming in the July-December Mini!) using a freshly inked Cajun Craze Classic Ink. I should have waited a bit and let the ink soak in a little more before I stamped, but I was impatient.
I erased my cheat marks, then added the DSP to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaves on the ends are adhered inside the frames with SEAL Adhesive, but the middle uses Stampin’ Dimensionals.
While I was making this card, I was also cutting ribbon to share with Susan. Since it was on my table, I made a little bow to add to the card using Mini Glue Dots. I’m not sure I like the bow, but there’s another sneak peek from the July-December Mini. I think the embellishments are Champagne Rhinestones, but anything sparkly will work.
While you’re taking a break and checking your mail and other web sites, see what Susan and Jackie have created. I can’t wait to see their “threes!”
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day – and may all good things come in threes today!

Oh Buffy! I love Las Tres Amigas. This is so pretty, and so hilarious that we both were inspired to do 3 frames/windows. I love your colors and leaves on this card.
