Happy Monday!
Welcome back, my friends! I created a super fun card for our stamping team challenge that I planned to share with you today. My plan was to write and schedule the blog post while we were away. But not only did I forget to bring the card, I also forgot to take a picture. So I have nothing for today. Mike suggested I create something from random things we have in the mountain house, but – there’s not even paper. It’s very sad.
Still – even without any craft supplies – we’ve had a lovely weekend. Wes, Katelyn, and Amelia came down on Saturday morning. We took several wonderful walks, grilled burgers and hot dogs, and enjoyed the fireworks display here. Wes couldn’t find anyone to take care of his dog, so he and Katelyn ran home after the fireworks, but Miss Amelia stayed for a fun sleepover. We had such a wonderful time. The kids came back Sunday for a little more rest and quiet before heading home with Amelia later that afternoon.
Amelia was such a sweetheart – as always. When we were heading down to the ski lodge for fireworks, she packed a bag of “random items she might need.” One of the things was a sheet of stickers. She had decided she was going to give them out. In the hour before fireworks started, she walked all around the area sharing stickers with anyone who wanted one.
It was so quiet this afternoon when everyone went home. It’s amazing how much life kids bring to a house! But it’s been lovely to relax, read, catch up on movies we’ve been wanting to watch, and take long walks with Mike & Max. We are coming home Tuesday, so I’ll post my wayward card on Wednesday’s blog.
Meanwhile, here’s my yearly clip from one of my favorite musicals, 1776.
For my friends in the US, enjoy the extended Independence Day holiday weekend! And to my Canadian friends, I hope you enjoyed a wonderful Canada Day!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
I love Amelia’s random bag of things and sharing of her stickers. What a kid!

She is amazing. She always wants to be prepared for anything. (One of the random things was a head lamp for cyclists riding at night. Well – we were heading out in the dark!
