Season of Thanks Stamp Off
It’s Stamp Off Friday! This week, it’s all about giving thanks and being grateful. I chose the Stampin’ Up!® Gather Together Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalog for my card.
Again, I used the Pigment Sprinkle colors from Miss Amelia’s winter leaves for my card. You can see our post here.
First, I stamped the leaves from the Gather Together Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on a 3″ x 5″ piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, then embossed them with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Next, I spritzed the Watercolor Paper with water and sprinkled Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, and Coastal Cabana Pigment Sprinkles on the paper. (Note: You can do this technique with Whisper White Cardstock, but it won’t look nearly as nice. If you don’t have watercolor paper, try the Shimmery White Cardstock.) Spritz a little more water if you need to activate more of the pigment, or add more pigment if needed. I liked the mottled look I had, so I spritzed one time and then left it alone.
While it was drying, I stamped the wheat in Bermuda Bay Classic Ink on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock, then layered it to a Gorgeous Grape card base.
After stamping the sentiment on Whisper White Cardstock using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink, I punched with the Story Label Punch, then sponged the edges with Granny Apple Green Classic Ink. When the “Spritzed and Sprinkled” layer was dry, I added it to the card, then added the punched sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
If you haven’t tried the Pigment Sprinkles, you should! They are so much fun. You just have to let go of your control issues, because they do what they want to do for the most part.
Please check out what my friends Susan and Jackie have made for you! I can’t wait to see their grateful cards!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
