Stampin’ Up!® OnStage 2019
What a fun weekend this was! Early Friday morning, Christy, Mike, & I headed to Hartford, CT, for a Stampin’ Up!® OnStage Local event. This is kind of a mini convention for Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators. There’s one Live event that lasts several days (in Germany this year) and local one-day events in the other markets (North America, Australia & New Zealand, and Japan). It’s a great time to see friends who live farther away as well as to make some new friends.
Centre Stage with Susan
Friday night was Centre Stage, a dinner for demonstrators who have achieved the title of Silver Elite and above. I was so excited to see Susan, my friend from New York. It’s always so much fun to hang out for a few days. (She needs to live closer to me!) Of course, we also receive our catalogs and special gifts. We got a fun business/credit card holder as well as the My Meadow Stamp Set (think spring version of Waterfront and Snow Front. So beautiful!). The most fun, though, was catching up with Susan and seeing the latest pictures of the grandkids!
Saturday OnStage Local
On Saturday, we had make & takes, announcements from the Home Office, demonstrations from other demonstrators using products from the new mini catalog and Sale-a-bration products, and more. And, of course, there were lots of prizes.
Here are a few of the things we received at OnStage and CentreStage. Some of the things could be considered “trash” – the grid sheet, the CentreStage placemat, and some of the paper table decorations and paper that wrapped the make & takes. These all coordinate with products from the new mini catalog and were too pretty to be left for the trash can. One of the things I’m especially excited for is the acetate “OnStage” piece at the very top center. You probably can’t tell it’s acetate, because it’s on top of a Terracotta Tile piece. Until my Product Purchase Premier order comes in, I’m going to use some of the “trash products” for backgrounds! I can’t wait to color the poppies and some of the other elements on the acetate with my Stampin’ Blends.
You may not be able to tell from the photos that much of the décor included poppies. There’s a lovely poppy set in the mini catalog (second from left in the photo). At the end of the OnStage Local events, we get to pass the make & take tote around and everyone gets to select something from the box. We keep passing the tote until everything is gone. The poppy set is one that I selected. I also got some brand new Wink of Stella and Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, new Whisper White Crinkle ribbon, and more! I can’t wait to use the ribbon, because you can dye the white ribbon with refills and rubbing alcohol or color with Stampin’ Blends. Of course, you can also keep it Whisper White.
Here are pictures of the Make & Takes and Sale-a-bration and Mini Catalog covers. “Mini” might be a misnomer. This catalog is huge, and it’s packed with so much gorgeousness. And can you see that it’s a landscape orientation? It’s so much easier to see the two-page spread, and the pictures of the projects seem bigger.
I know it’s hard to see the Make & Take pictures. After I make them, I’ll post the projects for you to see. I don’t usually finish the make & takes at events. I’d rather chat, visit with friends, and then create the projects at home.
I mentioned the “Product Purchase Premier” earlier. Demonstrators can usually preorder all new products a month before the sales period begins. This is so we can plan classes and play with the products a bit so we’re familiar with them before we sell them. However, demonstrators who attend an OnStage event have the opportunity to order selected products even earlier! Instead of working on the Make & Take, I worked on my Product Purchase Premier order. I waited until Saturday night to finalize it – after all the prizes were given out and the Make & Take tote was empty – just to be sure I didn’t duplicate anything. And as a special treat to myself, I “next day” expedited my Product Purchase Premier orders. It will ship today and be here tomorrow. I’m so excited!
