Weekly Spring Flowers & Butterflies

WeeklyDeals_Share-1_Apr0516_NA

Hi, Stampers!

First – some news. Stampin’ Up! has been offering weekly deals for – well, I don’t know how long. For a while, though. Every Tuesday, new deals were added and you could order them at a discount that week. This program was started to help reduce overstocked inventory. As  excess inventory has been reduced, the variety of products available for Weekly Deals has decreased, making the deals less exciting. So Weekly Deals are being replaced with a less frequent but better promotion called Special Offers. These Special Offers will occur every few months as inventory allows (the goal is still to reduce overstocked inventory) with more products and discount tiers than Weekly Deals (offers may vary per market). The last sets of Weekly Deals will be April 5-18.

Here are the deals for this week. You can add them to orders including Clearance Rack items, prepaid Paper Pumpkin subscriptions, and regular catalog items. You can order online 24/7, or contact me and I’ll be happy to send the order in for you.

Speaking of Paper Pumpkin Subscriptions – if you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin by April 10 (or order a prepaid kit), you’ll get a FREE STAMP SET in your April Paper Pumpkin kit! Who doesn’t love free stamps? Don’t miss out – because when Stampin’ Up! offers a “thank you,” it’s a big deal!

Now – here’s my card for today.

Punches, Stampin' Up!

So here’s the funny thing I just realized about this card. There’s no stamping on it. No stamping at all. I used the Pansy Punch to punch six flowers from Whisper White card stock. Then I patted Classic Stampin’ Pads directly on the Silicone Craft Sheet, spritzed a little water over the ink, and smooshed the punched flowers in the ink.

After adhering the smooshed flowers to a Whisper White panel, I die-cut a butterfly using Basic Black card stock and the Butterflies Thinlits dies. I added the butterfly to the layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added the layer to a Basic Black card stock layer before adding it to a Whisper White Thick Card Stock card.

If you’re wondering, I used Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, and Crushed Curry ink for the layers. Apparently, when I spritzed the Melon Mambo ink with water, it splashed over onto the Coastal Cabana flowers. Who knew I could be so messy? (Ok – anyone who has read more than two of my blogs knew that.) But I kind of liked the look, so I left it that way.

This is a wonderful card for many occasions – thinking of you, thank you, birthday, and more! I’m not sure what I’ll use it for, but I’m really happy with it! (So maybe, another swap option for OnStage? I need to finalize my idea soon because I leave in a week. WOOT!)

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Deborah! We’ll miss you, but we’ll try hard to enjoy ourselves anyway.
