My dear friend Susan Horr has the most gorgeous Christmas card on her blog today. She used a Holiday Ornament framelit with silver glimmer paper behind it. It was so beautiful, I had to make something similar.
I used the Festive Flurry stamp set, and stamped the snowflake on a window sheet with white StazOn. My idea was to back it with the glimmer paper – but apparently, I used all of mine and didn’t order more. So I used a silver foil sheet from the Holiday catalog instead. (Note: If you’re going to use a foil sheet, you can stamp right on it; you don’t have to stamp on a window sheet first. I only stamped on the window sheet because of poor planning. ) I used the coordinating framelit to cut the shape from the Shimmery White card stock, then layered it to a Whisper White card.
Susan also used the Stylish Stripes embossing folder, but I don’t have that one. Instead, I used the diagonal insert with my Simply Scored scoring tool.
The sentiment is from Joyful Christmas, stamped in Silver Metallic Encore ink, embossed with silver powder and die cut with the Ovals collection framelits. And, of course, for a tiny bit more glitz, some silver ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day.
Truly (simply) lovely. Thanks to you and Susan for the nifty ideas.
