Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  I almost missed it.  This isn’t really a St. Patrick’s Day card; we usually do a shamrock or a leprechaun with a pot of gold or a rainbow at our March workshops.  I was going to do a cute shamrock card using the heart punches, but then I realized that Wednesday’s workshop is after St. Patrick’s, so we did a little basket and a vintage card instead.

This card, however, is green and uses a rainbow of colors.  Does that count?

Stamps:  Fabulous Florets; Ink:  Basic Black classic; Versamark; Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral stampin’ write markers; Paper:  Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Island Indigo card stock; Beyond the Garden designer series paper; Other:  Wild Wasabi, Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo embossing powder; scallop trim border punch, stampin’ dimensionals

Doesn’t this make you want to go somewhere warm and sunny?  I love these colors.  I saw a gift bag at a local store and it gave me the idea for the background.  I just stamped the flowers in Basic Black on Whisper White, added lines with a Basic Black marker to separate the colors and colored with markers.  Easy!  The other flowers and the images on the Lucky Limeade card were stamped with Versamark and embossed with colored powder.

Hope your St. Patrick’s Day was a happy one.  Here’s an Irish blessing from my friend Patti:

May your troubles be less, your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.

Thanks for stopping by!
