Inspiration from the Furniture Store

Mike needs a love seat for his office, so we went furniture shopping today.  The first thing I realized was people must have really, really long legs these days.  If you sit all the way back, your feet kind of dangle off the edge.  I guess that’s why they all had 10 pillows on them.  Another thing I noticed was all the Lucky Limeade in the patterns, so I got a lot of inspiration from the furniture store.  There were some great combinations – Lucky Limeade/Sahara Sand/Always Artichoke.  Lucky Limeade/Rich Razzleberry.  And my favorite, Lucky Limeade and Chocolate Chip.  (I’m thinking a limeade and chocolate chip cookies sound really good right now.  Stampin’ Up!® needs to have color names that don’t inspire me to eat.)

Stamps:  My Friend; Ink:  Lucky Limeade classic; Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip stampin’ write markers; Paper:  Lucky Limeade, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, First Edition designer series paper; Other:  Chocolate Chip dotted scallop ribbon, Everyday Enchantment brads, stampin’ dimensionals

This was a sketch challenge on our demonstrator forum.  It works really well with this stamp set and color scheme.  I inked the flower image in Lucky Limeade, then used a Chocolate Chip marker to add some color.  For the “my friend,” I inked the whole stamp with Lucky Limeade, then colored over “My Friend” with a Chocolate Chip marker.  Easy!!  The little butterfly brad from the Sale-a-bration ribbon & brad pack worked really well with this sketch, I thought.

Speaking of Sale-a-bration … you only have two more weeks to earn your free products!  There are so many fun items you can earn, both SAB exclusives and catalog products.  So don’t wait.  E-mail or call me with your order today.

Thanks for stopping by!
