Double Wonder Poinsettia Place

Double Wonder Poinsettia Place

Happy Friday, Stamping Friends! I’m enjoying the Stampin’ Up!® OnStage@Home event this weekend. It’s been so much fun – and it’s only the second day! And I’ve already won a prize from the new January-June Mini Catalog.

While I’m watching, I’m also crafting. I don’t know about you, but I love Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Paper (DSP). I tend to buy more than I use, though. I’m committed to use it up, so I was really happy to see an online class from some of the Stampin’ Up!® staff called “Double Wonder.” The idea is to actually use your DSP. Here’s one of the first cards I made.

Stampin' Up!, Poinsettia Place, Poinsettia Petals, Light Me Home

Ok – these are two of the first cards I made, I guess. I used the Poinsettia Place DSP and cut six pieces that were 1-1/2″ x 3″. Next, I sponged some Garden Green Classic Ink on the edges of 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock. I added one to a Garden Green card base and one to a Bumblebee card base. Then I added the DSP strips, and finally sentiments stamped on Whisper White Cardstock in Garden Green Ink. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set, and the heartfelt wishes sentiment is from the Light me Home Stamp Set. Both of these are in the August-December Mini Catalog. You can simply cut the sentiments with your Paper Snips or Paper Trimmer or you can use punches or dies. For the card on the right, I used one of the Stitched So Sweetly Dies to die-cut the sentiment, and I added a few leaves from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set.

These are perfect cards if you’re a new crafter or if you need a lot of cards in a short amount of time.

I’m looking forward to learning new techniques and ideas as well as seeing new product this weekend. So far, the even has been awesome!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
