Tasteful Touches with Feathers

My dear friend Susan recently posted a card using the Stampin’ Up!® Tasteful Touches Stamp Set, and I had to CASE (copy and share everything) it. You can see Susan’s card here.

I coped her card idea using Brights, Neutrals, Regals, and Subtles inks for the same design. Here are my two favorites.

This is the card using Neutrals inks. I stamped the feathers from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock using (l-r) Basic Gray, Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede, and Merry Merlot. I stamped the sentiment (also from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set) in Night of Navy, then adhered the stamped layer to a Night of Navy card base. This is a perfect card for anyone! The neutral colors make it a wonderful “masculine” card, but it is also a great card for women as well.

Here’s my Regals card. I stamped – again on Whisper White Cardstock – using Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Cajun Craze, and Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink, and the stamped panel is layered to a Cherry Cobbler card base.

I love both of these color palettes, so I can’t figure out which is my favorite. Using the Stamparatus made this card so simple! All I had to do was move the plate, clean the stamp, and add a different color of ink. It’s a perfect #simplestamping and #hingestamping card, because you don’t need anything fancy. There are no dies or embellishments. All you need are stamps, ink, and card stock. And with the Stamparatus, anyone can easily make this card.

I also made a card using Subtles and one using Brights (with the exception of one new In Color). They are so simple, but so gorgeous, don’t you think? And that tells you that anyone can create gorgeous handmade greeting cards, no matter their skill level. Thanks, Susan, for the awesome inspiration!
