Celebrate Beauty

One of my favorite stamp sets in the 2019 Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog is Beauty Abounds. Of course, there is a coordinating set of dies – Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies – and if you bundle the two together, you will save 10%. More good news – if you purchase the bundle by March 31, you will earn a Level One Sale-a-bration product free!

For this card, I mixed products from the Stampin’ Up!® Annual, Occasions, and Sale-a-bration publications.

Beauty Abounds, Stampin' Up!

First, I die-cut a frame for my sentiment from Whisper White Cardstock using the Stitched Labels Framelits from the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. Then I stamped some of the bokeh dots from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set in Lemon Lime Twist Classic Ink onto the frame. Using the Layering Ovals Framelits, I diecut an oval from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock, then layered it under the Whisper White frame.

The Butterfly Beauty Thinlits work beautifully when they’re layered. I used two different butterfly thinlits to create the Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist layered butterflies.

Remember the lovely Celebrate You Thinlits from our 2018 Sale-a-bration? They carried over to the 2018-19 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog, so if you missed them last year, you can purchase them now. I used them for the celebrate you sentiment using Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.

My Sale-a-bration product for this card is the beautiful Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (DSP). It coordinates with the Butterfly Duet Punch in the Occasions Catalog, but it’s gorgeous with any product. One side has a lovely color palette, and the other has black and white designs. I used the DSP as the anchor layer on an Old Olive card base.

To stay with my monochromatic theme (even though it wasn’t planned!), I added a Lemon Lime Twist 1/4″ Ombré Ribbon bow to the Whisper White frame. Can you believe Lemon Lime Twist is set to retire in June? It seems like we were just introduced to it. It’s such a lovely yellow-green color, and I’m going to be using it a lot before it retires!

This is definitely a card to show off your Big Shot! Lots of framelits and thinlits in play here.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

This is such a beautiful card, Buffy. I love all the elements to it. I am going to miss Lemon Lime Twist. It is one of my favorite colors. I hope they bring it back in the future!

Thanks, Susan! Wait…even the butterflies?? 😉 I’m going to miss LLT too. Granny Apple Green is nice, but LLT is so soft and springlike. Crossing fingers that we’ll see it again.

Thanks, Jackie! I love those colors, too! I tend to use greens whenever I do a monochromatic card – even when I don’t plan to! Maybe because there are so many different shades.
