It’s time for another Watercooler Wednesday Challenge! I selected the challenge this week, and it’s an “Anything Goes” challenge – but there’s a slight twist. A knot, if you will. Or, a “tied knot.” Yep – this one is a wedding challenge. Since my 33rd wedding anniversary is Friday, I thought it would be fun to give the Anything Goes challenge a wedding theme. It can be any kind of project – a card, a gift, a 3-d, a scrapbook page or album – whatever you want, as long as it’s for a wedding. (And I stretched the rules a little to include anniversaries.) Here’s the “inspiration.” (NOTE: You don’t have to use the colors in the photo. I just thought the cake was a wonderful representation for a wedding. And – seriously, how yummy does that cake look?)

Here’s my project.
This is a favor box for wedding guests. I used Rich Razzleberry card stock with the Baker’s Box thinlits to create the box. I stamped images from For the New Two in Rich Razzleberry over the box, then embossed “Mr. & Mrs.” in gold on Whisper White card stock. After I colored the flowers with Stampin’ Write Markers, I die-cut the tags with the Tags & Labels Framelits dies.
You’ll notice I used the “out of the box” technique for the stamped layer. Simply lay your die over the stamped image, and lightly trace the outline. Then snip around anything outside the lines and pull them out of the die, so they’re over the top and not under the cutting edge. Then run it through the Big Shot.
I decided to add a little more sparkle with sequins and Gold Cording Trim. And since I wanted to close the box with a clothespin, I dunked the clothespin in Versamark ink, then embossed it with gold embossing powder.
The bands around the box are from the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper and Happy Haunting Designer Washi Tape. I wanted to keep the fall theme because my anniversary is in the fall. But you can use any colors you want!
So now it’s your turn! Create a wedding or anniversary project and link it to the Watercooler Challenge Blog. If your project is chosen as a winner, you’ll get to put our nifty badge on your blog or web site. You can get lots of inspiration from the other designers here.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
