Here’s something I’ve never accomplished before. Ok, maybe I have, but this is the only one I’ve liked. It’s a one layer card. Usually I make a one layer card and end up trimming it and making it the top layer over a card base. Or I add something to it. But this one is just an 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ sheet of Very Vanilla card stock, folded to make a card.
I used the retiring Stippled Blossoms set for the images. The flowers are Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral, and the leaves are Mossy Meadow. (Yes, really! I stamped off once or twice for the background image, then used it full strength for the detail.) The “thank you” is from An Open Heart, stamped in Early Espresso.
Each year we send thank you notes to all the businesses and individuals who donate door prizes for our luncheon in early May, and I think this is going to be the main card we send this year. It’s simple and quick, but I think it’s very elegant. Mom’s in charge of the thank you cards, so she has the final say. She likes simple and quick, though, and she likes clean lines and lots of white space, so I’m thinking she’ll ok the design.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!
You know me too well – it’s scary!! But you are right – the card is just right in every way.
