This is a tag we’ll be making at the Stamping 101 class. It looks a lot harder than it is! This class is on embossing, so there are a couple examples.
First, I stamped the Dictionary background in Crumb Cake ink on a 5-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ “tag” made from Very Vanilla card stock. Then I stamped and embossed the Sweetbriar Rose in gold. I used Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride classic ink with an aqua painter to color the flowers.
The rest is just embellishment. I used Blushing Bride ink refill to color some Simply Pressed Clay, then shaped it into a rosebud. After it dried, I added it to some gold ribbon, linen thread and a sponged doily. I added more ribbon, some sequins, a punched butterfly and pearls. As a final touch, I embossed a Mossy Meadow Clothespin with gold embossing powder. I kept thinking as I looked at the finished product that something was missing. Aaaah – I forgot to sponge. Oh, well. It’s “nouveau vintage.”
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Deborah! It was fun – but I can’t believe I forgot to sponge it. I spent too much time with Susan!
