Here’s another idea from my friend Susan Horr in New York. I need a lot of birthday cards for men this month, and I was in a creative slump. All I can see are flowers. Even when I tried to use Clockworks – which is a pretty masculine set – it came out quite feminine in Calypso Coral with doilies.
So Susan’s blog came to the rescue today – with Wonderfall and the Autumn Accents Bigz Die from the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday catalog. I also used the Woodgrain embossing folder, for the Sizzix Big Shot, also in the Holiday catalog.
Don’t you love it? The Big Shot makes it so easy to make. I embossed the Soft Suede layer with the Woodgrain folder, then die cut all the leaves at one time with the Autumn Accents die. I stamped each with coordinating stamps and fall colors (I think my acorn colors are backwards; I always do that), then sponged the edges with Soft Suede. So easy!
Thanks, Susan! I may make a lot of these to keep on hand.
Thanks for stopping by – and have a “Wonderfall” day!!
