Friendship

Here’s Mike’s third pick from my weekend’s work. You may have already seen it in alternate colors in this post. We made this card in classes in July. I chose Pear Pizzazz and Rococo Rose because I really wanted to use Rococo Rose since it’s a new In Color. But one of my stampers thought it was too “Apple Blossomy,” and wanted a blue. I don’t have all the Stampin’ Up!® colors at my office, but I did have Pacific Point. And look at how awesome Pacific Point and Pear Pizzazz look together.

Beauty Abounds, Stampin' Up!

For this card, I patted the Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin’ Pad on the Silicone Craft Sheet, then spritzed with water. I didn’t want too much water, but just enough for the stamp pad lines to disappear. Then I smooshed Whisper White Cardstock into the mix.

Next, I repeated the process with Pacific Point Classic Ink, and let it dry a bit.

After it was mostly dry, I added the Bokeh Dots from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set in Pacific Point and Pear Pizzazz. I love the way that turned out!

Finally, when it was totally dry, I added some of the floral swirls from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored some of the petals with a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker and leaves with a Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker. I stamped the sentiment from the Beauty Abounds Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of the card.

I wanted a little extra glam touch, so I die-cut some Butterfly Beauty butterflies from the Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and added them to the card. So gorgeous, don’t you think? It’s kind of a controlled art deco kind of thing.

While I really liked the Rococo Rose and Pear Pizzazz combination, I have to say the Pacific Point/Pear Pizzazz really wows me. I made several extras of these cards to send to friends. I realized that while I make lots of cards, I don’t send that many. How sad is that? Sara Douglass, our Stampin’ Up! CEO had a #makeacardsendacard campaign. While I have the “make a card” part down, the “send a card” part needs work. So my goal this year is to send more of the cards I make and stop hoarding them! Great plan, don’t you think?

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
