Fresh as a Daisy

Fresh as a Daisy

If you need a handmade card in a snap, the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin’ Up!® is there for you. Each sheet is beautiful, and it’s full of new colors! All five of the new In Colors for 2023-2025 are in the DSP – Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Pebbled Path, and Moody Mauve. And the final color is Pretty Peacock, a retired In Color that came back as a blue/green in the Regals Collection.

One sheet (actually two, since there are two of each design) is perfect for quick cards.

FRESH AS A DAISY 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

These 10 beautiful patterns are perfect for full sized cards, note cards, square cards, or a lovely layer.

I cut the bottom left image using my paper trimmer. A little more trimming, a bit of stamping, and some layering and I had a gorgeous card in no time.

Fresh as a Daisy, Stampin' Up!, Playing in the Rain, Waves of Inspiration

First, I trimmed the DSP image to 3-3/4″ x 5″. Then, before I adhered anything, I stamped the birds from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set in Basic Gray Ink. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Playing in the Rain Stamp Set in Basic Gray Ink in the center of a 4″- 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock. Again using my Paper Trimmer I cut out the sentiment, leaving enough room around it to punch with the Cloud Punch.

I layered the Basic White piece to a Wild Wheat card base, then added the DSP and punched sentiment on top. So easy!

Yesterday we had family dinner to celebrate Wes’s birthday. When Stephanie and Garret got home, there was a cat in the gutter outside their home. It was very thin, but sweet and friendly. And apparently it was also very pathetic, because Garrett said they should bring it in to make sure it was ok. Long story short…Garrett and Steph have a cat! It seems to like their dogs and they’re ok with the cat. It’s a yellow tabby (that reminds me a little of our daily visitor “Bob”). For Amelia’s second birthday, my aunt gave her a stuffed cat that looks very like the little stray. She called it Meow Meow, because everything was called by the sound they made – Meow Meow, Woof Woof, Neigh Neigh (well, you get the idea. And, hey, she was two). Now, of course, she is a very grown up almost nine year old, so she has already named the new cat Autumn. Isn’t that a great name for a yellow orange cat? And apparently Amelia hasn’t heard that if you name a stray, you now own it. (Or maybe she has. She has wanted another cat.)

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
