Embossing Folder Technique
Welcome back to Stamping with Buffy! I hope you’re having a productive week. Yesterday was “taxes and other bills day.” The happy part was that Amelia needed to be picked up from school. That’s not the happy part. That part is sad because she felt so bad and didn’t want to eat. But Steph had just put the preschooler she babysits down for a nap and asked if I could get her. Of course! Although my heart broke for her. It’s awful when she’s sick, because she usually is so happy and full of life. As it turns out, she has a sinus infection, so she should be much better soon!
Today’s “to do” list was much more fun. Max got his nails done (Max is our very old pug) and I got to see my aunt for a few minutes, one of my favorite stampers, and lots of family later for my uncle’s birthday. It was a good day! And then I got a text from my friend Jackie. Jackie sent Susan and me a link to this cool embossing folder technique. I don’t know what it’s called, but I love the look!
I didn’t even need to spend a lot of time on this. It’s going to be the technique I share at our next technique night. Sadly, I didn’t have a current embossing folder that would work well, so I pulled out this one that’s retired. The colors I used are Poppy Parade, Lemon Lime Twist, Basic Gray, and Lemon Lolly. So fun!
After our class next week, I’ll explain the technique. Hopefully, I’ll have an appropriate and current folder by then! The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. I embossed it with White Powder on Basic Black Cardstock, then die-cut with the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. I love the way it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
