“Thanks” in Berry & Spruce

Welcome back, my friends! I am happy to announce that the 2023-24 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up!® is now live! I placed my order earlier today. Shipping has been a nightmare for all of us (the company and stampers!) due to crazy weather and record sales, but they’re catching up. I know it can be frustrating, and I appreciate everyone’s patience. Because of the delays, I expedited my order. If you pay a a little extra (for my order it was $23) you go to the head of the “picking line.” If your order is finalized by 11 a.m. MT, it ships that day. It is so worth an extra $23 for me to get my order in two days.

As a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator, I can preorder products a month early. I decided to focus on colors for my preorder in April, so I didn’t order any new stamps – just ink and card stock and markers. Oh my! I still managed to have a hefty preorder. Now, though, I’m ready for some new stamps and dies and Designer Series Paper. It should be here when I get home after the weekend.

In the meantime, I have another card I made with the technique we played with at our monthly class. You can see my original card and the instructions for the technique here. Here’s my new card.

Stampin' Up!, Framed Florets, Irresistible Blooms

I used Berry Burst – one of our retired In Colors that has returned for the new catalog – and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends on the Vellum. I love these colors together. I die-cut the vellum and Basic White Cardstock with the (now retired) Framed Florets Dies and adhered them to a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock that I had embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.  I used a Berry Burst frame over the vellum. I die-cut two sets of leaves from Shaded Spruce Cardstock (still with the Framed Florets Dies) and added them under the frame. I adhered the Coastal Cabana layer to a Shaded Spruce card base.

After finally getting a chance to sit down with the new catalog and really look at it, I realized that our Pearl Basic Jewels are retired. However, we still have Pearls in the 2022-2024 In Colors, Falt Adhesive-Backed Pearls, Iridescent Pearls, and Festive Pearls. I colored some of my (retired) pearls with a Berry Burst Stampin’ Blend Marker and added them to the card.

The sentiment, stamped in Shaded Spruce on a Basic White label, is from the Online Exclusive Irresistible Blooms Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
