Butterfly Brillance

Butterfly Brilliance

Butterfly Brilliance has been one of my favorite sets. I love this card I made with the bundle!

butterfly Brilliance, Stampin' Up!

First, I used some retiring colors with this card. I LOVE Blushing Bride, but, sadly, it will be retiring soon. So it has a prominent place in this card.. I die-cut some bricks with the Brilliant Wings Dies from Blushing Bride Cardstock, then embossed the card stock with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. I backed this with Cajun Craze Cardstock and then added it to a Bermuda Bay card base. Bermuda Bay is another of my favorite retiring colors.  I’m so sad. I should have pushed these colors more!

Next, I inked the Butterfly Brilliance background stamp with Bermuda Bay Classic Ink and Stamped on a piece of the Seaside Bay Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and die-cut with the Brilliant Wings Dies. I love the gold highlights in the DSP.

I added a few of the butterfly die-cuts to the die-cut and embossed card stock. Then, I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay on another piece of the Seaside Bay DSP and die-cut with the Beautiful Shapes dies.

As sad as I am to lose some of my favorite colors, I do love the new colors and I can’t wait to start using them.

I am so looking forward to the next few days. Stephanie & Garret have an out of town wedding to attend this weekend, and I get to spend several days with Amelia! We had a blast today celebrating my aunt’s birthday, and we’ll have even more fun shopping and playing over the next few days. I can’t wait to see what she picks out for clothes (she has asked to go “clothes shopping” with me) and playing with her uncle and great-grandma. She is so much fun!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
