Something Fancy
Welcome back to Stamping with Buffy! I am so excited for the launch of the Stampin’ Up!® January-April Mini Catalog, and, of course, Sale-a-bration! It’s the most fun time of the year, don’t you think? You can join my team for $99 and get an extra $175 in products if you join during Sale-a-bration. That’s $50 more product that the standard Starter Kit offer. And, if you choose, you can add an exclusive Boho Blue or the original white Mini Stampin’ Emboss Machine for an extra $30. (That’s $238 in product for only $125 or $175 in product for only $99. It’s your choice.)
PLUS you can earn free products with your order. For every $50 you spend on Stampin’ Up!® product, you can select a free Sale-a-bration product. And there’s no limit to the number of free products you can earn. So fun! But you only have through February 28, and then Sale-a-bration is over – so don’t be like Cinderella and wait until the last minute.
Today I have a super easy card for you using products from both the Annual Catalog and the January-April Mini and from Sale-a-bration!
First, look at this beautiful Designer Series Paper (DSP). It’s 48 sheets of beautiful DSP (four each of 12 doubled-sided designs), and it’s FREE during Sale-a-bration! And check out the colors – Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Gree, Mango Melody, and Petal Pink. These are some of my favorite colors, and the designs are so fun.
For my card, I used a design with Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green. First, I stamped a border from the Decorative Borders Stamp Set in the mini catalog using Bermuda Bay. I stamped directly onto the DSP. Don’t forget you can do that! I colored the leaves/flowers using Granny Apple Green, Fresh Freesia, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. (Just a tip – you do not have to stamp your images in black ink to color them with Blends. Any watercolor ink will do!)
Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Something Fancy Bundle using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I die-cut the label using the Something Fancy Dies. (Here’s another tip for you. You can order the stamps and dies separately, but if you take advantage of the bundle number, you’ll save 10%.)
The label looked a little too stark for me, so I used the Small Blending Brushes to add some Granny Apple Green to the tag. And now all of my Blending Brushes are easily accessible on my stamp table in the Blending Brushes Storage container that works with the Stampin’ Storage containers.
I added a bow from Parakeet Party 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon to the label with a Glue Dot, then added the label to the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I layered the DSP to a Bermuda Bay Cardstock layer and then to a Granny Apple Green card base.
I have to say, I love the plaid background, don’t you? And it was free!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy!Have a lovely day!
