Just a Little Reminder…
Welcome back to Stamping with Buffy, my friends! I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season! A couple weeks ago I decided I just couldn’t do another big dinner so close to Thanksgiving. I’m not sure why I was so tired, but I just couldn’t. And then my kids chimed in. Jon was the first to suggest “potluck.” He wanted to make chili and Adrianna offered her awesome macaroni and cheese. Katelyn is always up for dessert and was baking for weeks. Stephanie volunteered Garrett to make his famous squash soup (and if it wasn’t famous before, it is now. YUM!), and Mom baked apples. I bought ham and Mike picked up some amazing Artisan bread.
I think the kids offered because all of them cook better than I do. I did manage to make a Keto Lemon Cake so Katelyn could have a dessert. Bless her heart; she baked all these yummy confections but didn’t eat any of them, so I had a sugar free cake for her. Adrianna’s parents sent a red velvet cake that was over the top delicious, and Mike made his deviled eggs (always a favorite with this crew; they didn’t make it to dinner). It was very non-traditional, but we all enjoyed it so much. Oh, and one of Adrianna’s friends added a Cherry Cheesecake. (Can I just admit that the desserts were my favorite parts of the dinner? Oh – and the soup and chili and mac & cheese. And apples. Ok – it was all so delicious!)
Honestly, this was one of my favorite Christmas dinners ever, because everyone got to help. But here’s the little reminder. January is fast approaching, which means the Last Chance Items from the July-December Mini Catalog and the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Framed & Festive Stamp Set will all be retiring January 4, 2023 (or while supplies last). Here’s one last look at a card using the Fitting Florets DSP.
This is a simple card we made at classes this month. First, we die-cut the frame from Basic White Cardstock and the Fitting Florets DSP. The DSP is the oval framed piece, and the Basic White frame is now Soft Succulent. I like to use my Blending Brushes to add color to a white frame. It’s a little more “organic,” I think, because it’s not a perfect color all around the frame.
To put the card together, we stamped the flowers in Balmy Blue Ink on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Balmy Blue Cardstock. Next we layered a piece of the Fitting Florets DSP over the card stock, and fitted the frame and DSP layer over it.
The “greenery” is die-cut with the Framed Florets Dies from Night of Navy Cardstock. We tied a bit of Baker’s Twine around the, um, “Blue-ery,” then added it to the card with glue Dots.
The sentiment from the Framed Florets Stamp Set is stamped on Basic white Cardstock with Night of Navy Ink. We notched the edge with Paper Snips to make a banner.
So easy! Remember the last chance products as well as the fact that you are loved! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day.
I am glad you got to share all the work with everyone. It makes it so much easier when you do. I love this bundle and will miss the DSP part.

It was so much fun! The kids always help and bring something, but this time I didn’t add much. 🙂 They were awesome. And I will miss the DSP too.
