Delicate Desert
Here’s another sneak peek from the Stampin’ Up!® January-April Mini Catalog. This card uses products from the Delicate Desert Suite Collection – the Desert Details Bundle and Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper (DSP).
I started with the die-cut frame using the Delicate Details Dies and Delicate Desert DSP. IFinally cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock just a little bigger than the inside of the frame, then used the “hinge-step” technique to stamp the borders in Pale Papaya and Gray Granite with my Stamparatus. This technique is so fun. Simply stamp, then move the Stamparatus plate down one hinge and stamp again. I think I was able to stamp three times. Then I switched to the other border stamp and repeated the process.
After I glued the stamped piece to the frame, I added it to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Gray Granite Cardstock. The sentiment from the Desert Details Stamp Set is stamped on a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock with Canjun Craze Classic Ink. I added it to the card, then die-cut a border from the Fine Shimmer Paper Pack and layered it under the sentiment. This paper is so beautiful. It’s smooth and shimmery, and comes in Soft Succulent, Fresh Freesia, and gold. So beautiful!
Finally, I added the Soft Succulent die-cut to the corner of the card. The card base is Pale Papaya.
When we made this card for our team gathering, Liz decided to stamp the desert flowers on the Very Vanilla layer. She used Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral ink, and it was gorgeous! I love when stampers go with their creative instincts!
The Desert Details Stamp Set and Dies (which, of course, I bundled to save 10%), Fine Shimmer Paper Pack, and the Delicate Desert DSP will be available January 5, 2023 in the January-April Mini Catalog.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
