World Cardmaking Day and Much More News!

World Cardmaking Day and Much More News!

Happy Monday, my friends! I hope you had a lovely weekend. Yesterday was my daughter-in-law’s birthday, and we had such fun celebrating Adrianna. We had steak, mashed potatoes and gray, and deviled eggs (all from Mike), roasted Brussels sprouts, delicious warm rolls topped with butter (from Stephanie & Garrett), and incredible citrusy desserts from Katelyn. Everything was so scrumptious, and, of course, just being with the kids and listening to their stories and jokes was wonderful! It topped off an amazing weekend that started with World Cardmaking Day (WCMD) events!

Before I show you the WCMD cards we made, I’ll share some fun news.

Birthday Card Organizer Kit

First, there’s a new kit from Stampin’ Up!® – Birthday Card Organizer Kit (#161056). It includes a planner for you to record birthdays, complete with pockets to hold cards, and materials for you to complete 12 birthday cards (six each of two designs) to get you started. It’s only $25 and will be available on October 4.

Starter Kit+

Also beginning October 4, there is a Starter Kit+ promotion. New demonstrators can select $155 in current Stampin’ Up! product for only $99. How amazing is that? Simply head over to my web site to join. Shipping is free; you only need to pay $155 (plus tax for your area). This promotion will be available through October 31.

Free Shipping

And speaking of free shipping, I’ve saved the best for last. For one day only (Tuesday, October 4), Stampin’ Up!® is offering free shipping on orders $75 and higher. Time to stock up – just in time for the holidays! Paper Pumpkin month-to-month subscriptions aren’t included, but you can order pre-paid subscriptions with free shipping. You can place your orders on my web site until 11:59 pm MT.

And now – Here are the cards we made Saturday for the World Cardmaking Day Event.

These were so fun!

Stampin' Up!, Cottage Rose Bundle

First, we created this card using the Cottage Rose Bundle. I love how the petals and leaves on the stamped flower were colored in different colors (Mint Macaron/Old Olive; Flirty Flamingo/So Saffron). The little Iridescent Pearls were colored with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.

Warm Welcome Bundle, Stampin' Up!

This card was created with the Warm Welcome Bundle from the January-June 2023 Mini Catalog. It was released early for WCMD. I love how the designer sponged Fresh Freesia and Mint Macaron Ink over the door; so fun! And look at the door handle – another Iridescent Pearl! (By the way, this new product was includede with the purchase of any or all of the bundles used for the WCMD event.)

Finally – the third card using the Cottage Wreaths Bundle.

Cottage Wreaths Bundle, Stampin' Up!

Instead of using Old Olive and Flirty Flamingo Cardstock for the die-cut wreath and bow, we colored Shimmery White Cardstock with Water Painters and ink. This gave the images a more mottled texture with varying depths of color.

This was such a fun event from Stampin’ Up!® – and even more fun because I got to stamp with some friends! Don’t forget to take advantage of the Starter Kit+ and free shipping promotions, as well as the new Birthday Card Organizer Kit!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
