Hello Harvest
Happy Friday! It’s been a fun week, and the weekend looks even better. I have a class on Saturday, then Amelia’s birthday party later. It’s hard when your birthday is at the beginning of the school year – especially when you’re starting a new school and don’t know anyone, so her party is a little later than her birthday. But I know it will be so fun!
We have a dinner for my cousin’s birthday later this evening, and then another family dinner on Sunday. What fun! (September is a busy month for birthdays around here!)
Speaking of classes, here’s a card we’ve been making in September.
This card uses several elements from the Rustic Harvest Suite Collection. First, I stamped the pumpkin and the flowers using the Hello Harvest Bundle. I stamped the pumpkin in Cajun Craze Classic Ink on Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, and the sunflowers on Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I die-cut them using the Rustic Pumpkin Dies. These are part of the Hollow Harvest Bundle, or you can purchase them separately, But if you use the bundle number, you get the stamps and dies together at a 10% discount! I colored the sunflowers with Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and the pumpkin stem with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
Next, I used the Layering Circles Dies to cut the scalloped circle, and embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. While I was embossing, I embossed a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock and embossed it with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I added a little Mossy Meadow Classic Ink to both embossed pieces with a Blending Brush.
All that was left was to put it together and add a sentiment. I added a strip of the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP) under the scalloped circle and scattered a few Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed gems to the card. The sentiment is from the super fun Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla Cardstock.. This can also be bundled with the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. The dies cut them out perfectly, and there are a few fun elements (hearts, candles, stars, and more) included with the dies. Again, you can purchase these separately, but if you use the bundle number, you’ll save 10%.
I hope your weekend will be as fun as I’m sure mine will be. Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
