Happy Wednesday, my crafty friends! I took some of my stamping supplies to the mountains so I could craft over the weekend. I unpacked and organized them, and then I did no crafting for the entire five days. Mike & I did some shopping, had lunch with all the kids and my mom and niece on Sunday, and binge watched a show Adrianna told us about. So much fun!
When I got home today, I decided to use some of the Rustic Harvest DSP and other products in the Rustic Harvest Suite. My desktop looked a little barren, and I realized that I had forgotten to bring my Paper Trimmer back home. I have an extra or two at the office, but I really didn’t want to go over there. Fortunately, I have a (retired) table top cutter so I was able to create this.
I actually used everything in the Rustic Harvest Suite Collection for this. First, I ran one of the Leaf Labels through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fern 3D Embossing Folder in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. I patted it with a Versamark Pad, then added Heat & Stick Powder and heated just until the powder melted. The last step was to place it face down in my box of Gilded Leafing, then brush off the excess. I love the added texture from the embossing!
The rest of the card is almost all the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP). I cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece and adhered it to a Crushed Curry Cardstock Base. So far, I have used parts from the Leaf Label and Amber Gem Combo Pack, the DSP, and the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. This kit is awesome! You have an Embossing Buddy so your powder won’t stick where you don’t want it, a Powder Pal try for catching excess powder, Crafting Brush to brush off stray powder, and Crafting Tweezers to keep your fingers from getting burned. (They’re also a fabulous “third hand” when you’re tying bows!)
Next, I took a piece of Basic Black Cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Hello Harvest Bundle in Versamark Ink, then embossed (using the Embossing Additions Tool Kit again) with White Powder. The dies in the Rustic Pumpkin Dies (the other half of the Hello Harvest Bundle) coordinate perfectly with the stamps in the Hello Harvest Stamp Set. And finally, I added a few Amber Gems to the card. I think this is the first time I’ve ever used everything in a suite collection on one card. This is a lovely collection, and you only need one number to get it all!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
