Cheerful Basket of Apples

Cheerful Basket of Apples

Happy Wednesday, my crafty friends! I hope you’re having a fabulous week. I’ve been enjoying spending extra time in my craft room this week. The last Thursday of every month, we have a Technique Night on Zoom. It’s a lot of fun, and members of my demonstrator team take turns sharing a new technique or “fun fold.” It’s open to anyone who is interested. If you’d like to be included, I’ll be happy to send you the link.

This is one of the cards we made at classes in August. I had so much fun with this.

Cheerful Basket, Stampin' Up!

All of the images and the sentiment are from the Cheerful Basket Stamp Set. If you bundle the stamp set with the coordinating Full Basket Dies, you save 10% over the price of the individual products. The basket can be filled with apples, hearts, or craft products.

First, I stamped the cat and butterfly images in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, and the apples and basket in Saddle Brown StazOn Ink using Basic White Cardstock. I used the Watercolor Pencils Assortments 1 & 2 to color them. I don’t like pencil lines, so I blended the colors with a Blender Pen.

Next, I die-cut the images with the Full Basket Dies and added the apples to the basket. I simply ran a thin strip of adhesive to the top of the back of the basket and placed the apples on the adhesive.

To make the background, I used the Dots & Spots Die with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then I adhered a slightly smaller layer of Daffodil Delight behind it. (Good news! The Dots & Spots Die is one of the catalog products you can earn FREE with a $100 order during Sale-a-bration. But hurry! You only have until August 31. Be sure to use #163098, not the catalog number, if you’re earning it free.)

I cut the basket in half and used the other half for another card. I placed the little cat and butterfly beside it. The sentiment is stamped in Real Red Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I followed the flow of the letters to cut it by hand. The card base is Granny Apple Green.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day, and be sure to check in on Friday to see the Dual Color Stamping card I made for technique night.
