Art Gallery
Hello again, my friends! I hope you had a wonderful week! Today was “yard work” day. I mowed, cleaned the pool, and did a bit of work in the mini garden. Of course, two hours later, a storm hit and loaded the pool with more leaves. I think next year we’re buying a retractable cover. That way we can just roll it out when no one’s in the pool to keep leaves, bugs, and little critters out of it.
Mom was asked to teach a card making class at my niece’s school. She will do an amazing job, but she asked me to help. I designed a card for them, but I will let Mom to do the teaching. Or maybe Beth. She’s amazing, and since she’s only been stamping a few months, she’ll be more familiar with any tricks they need to know as “newbies!”
When I placed my preorder for the Stampin’ Up!® July-December Mini Catalog, I earned enough Sale-a-bration rewards to get two packs of the Soft Seafoam/Pool Party Cards & Envelopes. Since they are now gone and there’s not time to get more before the end of Sale-a-bration, I decided to use these for the class. It will save a lot of time!
The first thing I did was get out my color coach to see of any colors worked well with Soft Seafoam and Pool Party. Turns out, Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce were coordinating colors for both, so that’s what I used for the flowers. I wanted them to be able to stamp something pretty, but also something on the simple side since I don’t think any of them have used stamps before. The Art Gallery Stamp Set was perfect for this! We can set up the Stamparatus with the pieces of the flowers and the sentiments on different sides of the plates so they should have great success. I think they’ll enjoy using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Floral Gallery Dies too.
I added a bow and some 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds to the cards. I altered the colors a little with Stampin’ Blends so they’d be a better match with the card colors. I think they’ll enjoy making these.
Don’t forget that Sale-a-bration continues through August 31, 2022, and new products were added to the offerings! The new products are catalog items, so be sure to use the item numbers on the flyer I posted yesterday, not the catalog numbers, when ordering online.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Jackie! I think the kids will have fun, and Mom will do a fabulous job. (We’re still debating who will be quiet and helpful and who will do the “teaching.” I want to be quiet and helpful, but haven’t convinced her yet.)
