Rustic Harvest

Hello, Friends! Welcome to Stamping with Buffy. I hope you’re having a wonderful week.

More To “Sale-a-brate”

First, I want to let you know that there are more ways to “Sale-a-brate” this month! From now until August 31, you’ll be able to select free Sale-a-bration products from the items in the Sale-a-bration brochure AND from a new collection of catalog products.

You can see there are some fun products to choose from. When you order online, be sure to use the item numbers above, not the numbers in the catalog. And, as you can see, the products with the yellow dot are free with a $50 order, and the blue dotted products are free with a $100 order. As always, there’s no maximum number of free products you can earn!

Rustic Harvest

I have been playing with my Watercolor Pencils. These are so fun, and simple to use. Here’s a card I made using several products from the Rustic Harvest Suite collection.

Rustic Harvest, Hello Harvest, Stampin' Up!

First, I cut a piece of the black & white leaf print design from the Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper (DSP) and colored the leaves with Watercolor Pencils. With two assortments, there’s a wonderful array of colors to use. I used mostly the greens, yellows, and oranges. They blend very well on this paper too! After I finished coloring them, I used a Blender Pen to smooth out the colors.

I adhered the DSP to a Daffodil Delight card base. I stamped the pumpkin from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set in White Craft Ink on Basic Black Cardstock, then embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I colored the embossed pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils, then die-cut it and the little Old Olive vine using the Rustic Pumpkin dies. You can purchase the dies and stamps separately, but if you bundle them, you’ll save 10%.

I used the Painted Labels Dies to die-cut the Vellum Cardstock circle behind the pumpkin, I also embossed another piece of vellum with the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. I used the Double Oval Punch to create my own label. The Vellum strip was a little thinner than the punch, so it only punched the two sides. I think it looks cool – and very unique!

I added a few Amber Gems from the Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack (also in the Rustic Harvest Suite) to the front of the card.

One more product in the suite that I used, but you can’t see, is the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. It includes a Powder Pal to collect excess powder and easily pour back into the jar, Crafting Tweezers (to keep your fingers cool, as well as for other uses), an Embossing Buddy, and a Crafting Brush to brush off stray powder.

Of course, you do not have to purchase the entire suite of products; you can pick and choose the ones you love. I, of course, loved and wanted it all, so I ordered the entire suite with one number. And you can see that I used everything in the Rustic Harvest Suite (except for the leaf labels) on this card.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
