Wisteria Wishes on the Horizon

Wisteria Wishes on the Horizon

Welcome back, my friends! Mike & I had such a relaxing and restful weekend in the mountains. I missed the kids, but it was also fun to have so much “down time” together!

I made this card before we left, but it reminds me so much of the sunrises at our mountain house. I’m more of a sunset than sunrise person, but lately Mr. Max (our Pug) has been waking up very early for breakfast and a walk. So I’m seeing more mornings!

Wisteria Wishes, Stampin' Up!

It’s another “Peek-a-boo” card. When I created it several weeks ago, the beautiful New Horizons Designer Series Paper (DSP) was still current. Sadly, it retired with the January-June Mini Catalog, but there are lots of other beautiful designs in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual and July-December Mini Catalogs.

First, I embossed a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White Cardstock with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. Then I used Blending Brushes to add Calypso Coral, Tahitian Tide, Evening Evergreen, and Soft Succulent Classic Ink to the front. After I cut a little slice out of the Basic White, I rolled it back and added a little more ink to the rolled up area, then secured it with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Next I adhered a little piece of the New Horizons DSP behind it.

The trees are actually the wisteria from the Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, then diecut them with the Wisteria Dies. Use the Bundle number – 158860 – to save 10% when ordering the stamps and dies.

This looks like a lot of stamping and cutting, but I only stamped the basic flowers two times. The stamp and dies stamp/cut three flowers at the same time. The darker green was the only part I had to stamp six times. I cut one off so I could add it to the bottom corner.

The sentiment is also from the Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped it in Evening Evergreen on Basic White Cardstock and cut it by hand.

The little embellishments are the Fine Sparkle Adhesive Gems from the July-December Mini Catalog. They are Calypso Coral, Pale Papaya, Pacific Point, and Pool Party. They work so well with the colors in the misty sunrise, don’t you think?

I backed the embossed layer with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Tahitian Tide Cardstock, then added it to a Pacific Point Cardstock base.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
