Wisteria Wishes
Welcome to a new week with Stamping with Buffy! I had such fun playing with my new Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set and Wisteria Dies the other day. Of course, I used the “bundle” number instead of purchasing the products separately so I could save 10%.
When Mike and Jon were remodeling my bathroom a few months ago, Mike bought a wall hanging he thought I’d like. It’s a board background with an inspirational saying printed on it. That was my inspiration for this card.
First, I inked just the stems and the branch with an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped on Basic White Cardstock. I did this two times using my Stamparatus, because I know water-based markers don’t work as well on photopolymer stamps. Then I cleaned the stamp and re-inked it using Parakeet Party Classic Ink. I stamped the flowers using Fresh Freesia ink, then stamped again, using the smaller and more detailed stamp with Orchid Oasis Ink.
I die-cut the stamped images using the Wisteria Dies, and adhered the leaves to a piece of the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the January-June Mini Catalog. Before I adhered the die-cut flowers, I used the flower stamp to add some color to the background. Again, I used my Stamparatus. I inked the flowers, spritzed them with water, then stamped directly onto the DSP. I also used a Blending Brush to add a little more color behind the flowers.
After the DSP was dry, I added the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the sentiment in Basic Gray Ink. I adhered the DSP to an Orchid Oasis card base and added some Glossy Dots.
Don’t forget that through June 30, when you buy one of the beautiful kits from the Kits Collection, you can select a second kit for half price! If you order on my web site, whichever is the more expensive set will be discounted. When you have a minute, take a look at all the lovely kits we have – and more are coming!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
