Good Feelings with Designer Series Paper
When I signed up for a recent Stampin’ Up!® event, there were four stamp set options from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog that were sent to demonstrators registered for the event. All four were on my wish list, and while I had one I really wanted to receive, I was just happy to be able to cross one set off my wish list. The set Stampin’ Up!® sent to me was the Good Feelings Stamp Set. It wasn’t my first choice, but I am so happy I got it! It coordinates with the Fabulous Frames Dies (which I didn’t use on my card today), and is so fun! The sentiments are larger, so you can make them the star of your card if you choose.
Here’s the card I made with the Good Feelings Stamp Set for our classes this month.
This card is so simple to create, because the Designer Series Paper (DSP) does most of the work. First, I cut a 3″ x 4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock and die-cut the edge with one of the Blossoming Happiness Dies. These dies coordinate with the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and Hues of Happiness DSP. I used one of the edge dies to die-cut the spiral notebook edge from the Basic White Cardstock.
Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Good Feelings Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink, then embossed the Basic White piece with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. The last step for this layer was to use Blending Brushes to add Soft Seafoam Classic Ink to the Basic White Panel. (Note: You can skip a step by cutting this piece from Soft Seafoam Cardstock instead of Basic White, but I already had the Basic White piece cut.)
I added a 1/2″ x 4″ strip of the amazingly beautiful New Horizons DSP to the edge of the stamped card stock. This card stock is only available through June 30, 2022, so order today if you love it as much as I do – or even if you love it a little. I will be so sad to see this go, because it’s so versatile and gorgeous.
The card base I chose is Pear Pizazz, and I added a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Heart & Home DSP to it before I added the stamped and embossed layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch was to color some Opal Rounds with Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends and add them to the card.
When I design cards for my classes, I try to add at least one card that’s suitable for anyone, and I think this card fits the bill for that. Of course, you can change the sentiment for birthdays, anniversaries, or even sympathy cards. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
