Sending Happiness & Cheer

Sending Happiness & Cheer

Happy Monday, er, Tuesday, my friends! We had a whirlwind weekend and I just wasn’t ready to let it go. We celebrated Wesley’s 30th birthday Saturday. His actual birthday is Wednesday, but since the kids work and Amelia has to go to school, we decided to celebrate on the weekend. It was lots of fun and nice to have some sunshine after several rainy days.

Mike & I are also changing insurance, so we had to head down to the mountain house to take some photos. We didn’t stay long, but it took a large chunk of Sunday. So here I am, finally showing you a card I made last week.

Bottled Happiness, Stampin' Up!

I used the flowers, leaves, and a sentiment from the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set from the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. This card was so simple to create using the Stamparatus. Honestly, if you haven’t tried it yet, you need to!

First, I cut a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Basic White Cardstock and placed it in the corner of my Stamparatus. Then I laid the flower stamp in the left corner of the card stock, making sure it only took up (approximately) 1/4 of the square. I made sure some would be off the card stock, so I’d have room in the center for the center. I stamped the flowers in Orchid Oasis Classic Ink, then turned the card stock 1/4 turn, inked the flowers and stamped again. I repeated this two more times so all four corners were stamped.

Next, I lined up the stamp with the leaves and flower centers. First, I “practice stamped” on a clear piece of plastic. Since this is a photopolymer stamp set, you can use the heavier transparent sheet that comes with it. When I was happy with the placement, I stamped with Parakeet Party Classic Ink, turning the card stock until all the flowers were complete.

I used Sweet Sorbet Classic Ink for the sentiment. It fit perfectly in the center of the flowers.

I cut a 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper in Parakeet Party and a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White Cardstock. I ran the Basic White piece through the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder, then adhered it to a Sweet Sorbet card base. Next I added the Glimmer Paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and then the stamped layer, also with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a little more “splash” of Sweet Sorbet, I added some 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots to the card.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

This is such a great, alternative way to use those flowers! That was my one issue with this set, but I love it
