I want to remind you about the “join” promotion that’s happening now at Stampin’ Up!® Throughout the month of May, you can add new In Color Grid Paper, new In Color DSP, new In Color Stampin’ Pads, and the new In Color Cardstock Assortment to your Starter Kit. You get all this plus $125 in current Stampin’ Up!® product for only $99 plus your state’s tax. Shipping is free. This is an amazing deal, and you’re guaranteed a minimum 20% discount on all orders. You can also order products early and get a first glance at the new catalogs. But there’s so much more than that.
About 8-10 years ago, I read a post from a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator on our chat page. She lived in upstate New York and was looking for something to put on her car to advertise her business. I had some logo clings that would work inside the car (a must for that crazy northern weather!). I didn’t need them, so I sent them to her. For “payment,” she sent me a beautiful card. At the time, I was thinking I got the better end of that deal. because her card was so gorgeous..
Fast forward many years, and I know I got the better end of the deal. Susan Horr has been my Stampin’ Up!® bestie ever since we made that trade.
I finally got to meet Susan and her amazing husband Rob at a Stampin’ Up! Leadership event, and I had the best time. Susan is amazing! And I’m not just saying that because she brought me coffee every day. (That’s a long story – and Susan will say it was mostly a self-preservation act on her end.)
Susan’s crafting style is Clean & Elegant. Mine is, “What mess is this??” I drool over Susan’s cards, and she gets hives when she sees my sponging, tearing, and crumpling. But even though our crafting styles are miles apart, we’re still great friends.
Susan and I both tend to “over buy” paper and embellishments, so we’ve started sharing products. Susan sent me half of her Tea Boutique Memories & More Cards & Envelopes and Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper (DSP). Oh. My. Goodness! These are part of the Tea Boutique Suite, which includes the Cup of Tea Bundle (Cup of Tea Stamp Set, Teacup Dies), Tea Boutique DSP, and the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes. I totally need to find something amazing to send back to her!
The Cup of Tea Bundle is on my “have to have this!” list, but until I get it, look what I did with the Cards & Envelopes.
The Tea Boutique cards and envelopes showcase all the new 2022-2024 In Colors. For my card, I chose to use the Tahitian Tide card. It was so simple. The envelope is already decorated, and the card has a beautiful Tahitian Tide/Basic White pattern. To make this card, all I had to do was stamp the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set in Tahitian Tide on Basic White Cardstock, then die-cut with the coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes Dies (order the bundle and save 10%!). I adhered the sentiment to a piece of the 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper, die-cut with the Painted Labels Dies. (Oh, did I mention that the Glimmer Paper was also from Susan?)
Since I don’t have the Cup of Tea Bundle yet, I used the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Seit with the Penned Flowers Dies to create the floral image at the bottom of the card. I stamped the flower in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White Cardstock, then die-cut the image with the cordinating Penned Flowers Dies. I colored the flowers with Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends, and added them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thanks, Susan, for many of the products used here! You are so amazing – and I am a better demonstrator for your inspiration.
