Are you loving the new Stampin’ Up!® catalog? I am, for sure! It’s one of the best we’ve had, with lots of styles for every taste.
I played around with the “Faux Porcelain” idea Sandy showed us last week, as well as the Nature’s Prints Bundle. This is part of the Sun Prints Suite, which includes the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set and Natural Prints Dies (purchase the bundle to save 10%), the Fern 3D Embossing Folder, and the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper (DSP). I ordered the entire suite, but I used the Pretty Prints DSP instead of the Sun Prints.
First, I inked the Fern Embossing Folder with Mossy Meadow Ink. I wasn’t sure where I was going with this technique; if I had had a plan, I would have used Evening Evergreen, but Mossy Meadow is ok.
Next, I ran a piece of Pearlescent Specialty Paper through the folder. I love the soft, pretty look. My Pearlescent layer is about 2-1/2″ x 4″, and I layered it to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Pretty Prints DSP.
I stamped several images from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set on Very Vanilla Cardstock using Blackberry Bliss and Evening Evergreen Ink, and Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Write Markers. I die-cut them with the coordinating Natural Prints Dies.
The label and two greenery pieces are die-cut from Soft Succulent Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using Evening Evergreen Ink, and adhered the die-cut pieces behind it. I added it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. And now I’m thinking I need some embellishments. I’m going to add either a few Opal Runds or Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. (I think the Opal Rounds will win this one.)
The card base is Blackberry Bliss. I’m loving the Evening Evergreen/Blackberry Bliss color combination, don’t you?
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely weekend, and Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, grandmas, stepmoms, aunts, cousins, and other women who have helped raise families!
