Simple Stamping with Flowers of Friendship
Welcome back, my friends! Mike & I are in the mountains again. This is Apple Blossom Weekend in Winchester, so we usually head out of town to escape the madness. It’s a fun weekend, but after 60+ years, it’s lost its allure with us. It’s mostly a big party with out-of-towners, so you can see why we choose the peace and quiet of our mountain house! The only drawback is the internet here, which is horrible. BUT – tomorrow we’re having better internet installed, so it’s all good.
I have a #simplestamping card for you today. I didn’t realize it would be simple until I made it. I was looking for ways to “glam it up,” but decided to keep it simple.
This is another card I made for our team challenge this month. I borrowed the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set from Nadine, and this is what I did with it.
I stamped the flowers in Early Espresso Classic Ink and the leaves in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then I colored them with a Blender Pen and White Craft Ink. Simply squeeze the stamp pad to collect some ink in the lid, them pick up the ink with the Blender Pen. You can also use the White Craft Refill as well.
I colored the centers of the flowers with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso. Before I adhered the Crumb Cake layer to the Mossy Meadow card base, I spritzed it with my Wink of Stella/alcohol mixture. In case you missed it, I took an empty Wink of Stella Glitter Pen apart and rinsed the barrel and tip with rubbing alcohol. I did this over a plastic cup so I wouldn’t lose any of the Stella or alcohol. Then I poured the mixture into a Stampin’ Spritzer. It’s perfect for adding just a little “glitz” to a project.
Just a reminder for you – there are only four more days until the launch of the new 2022-2023 Annual Stampin’ Up!® Catalog. I can’t wait! But in the meantime, there are lots of “last chance” products available at reduced prices. And don’t forget that the January-June Mini Catalog ends June 30, so grab the products you love from that catalog now!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
