Nature’s Prints
Welcome to a new week, my crafty friends! I cannot believe April is almost over, can you? Maybe it’s because the “spring” weather has been a little iffy, but I still think, “February,” when I’m talking about the date. The best news is that a week from tomorrow, the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog goes live! There are so many things I want, it’s hard to decide what to order first. In her first seven years, Miss Amelia has gone from loving cats to ponies to dinosaurs. She still loves those, but her favorites (at the moment) are dragons and bunnies. There’s an awesome dragon in the new catalog, so that’s probably going to be the first thing I order.
In the meantime, here’s a card using stamps from one of my favorite new suites, Sun Prints. I ordered the entire suite, because it was all so beautiful. It includes the gorgeous Sun Prints Designer Series Paper, Nature’s Prints Bundle (Nature’s Prints Stamp Set and Nature Prints Dies), and the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. For this card, I only used the stamp set.
I started out with the Blue Foils Specialty Paper. It is so gorgeous, and it comes in three colors. Sadly, this was part of an early release promotion with the Waves of Inspiration Bundle, and the foil, beautiful Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels, and Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper (DSP) were only available while supplies last. You know how I always say, “avoid disappointment and order now?” Well, sadly, the foil and rhinestones are already gone. The DSP, however, is still available, so if you love it, add it to your order now so you don’t suffer more disappointment!
I stamped the flowers from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on a Night of Navy foil panel. Then I embossed the images with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After the powder cooled, I used a Blender Pen and some of the Night of Navy Soft Pastels to color the flowers. The white was just a little stark, I thought.
The sentiment from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set is also stamped in VersaMark on a piece of the Silver Foil in the Blue Foils Specialty Paper. We do have Silver Foil in three different styles, so if you didn’t get the Blue Foils paper, you can use the Silver Foil in the catalog. I embossed the sentiment with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then-die cut it with one of the tags in the Waves Dies. I added pieces of Smoky Slate 7/8″ textured Ribbon to the tag and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Of course, I also added a few of the Rhinestone Waves Jewels before I adhered the layer to a Smoky Slate card base.
I love the richness the foil sheet adds to the card, don’t you?
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Such a pretty card! It’s a shame that some items sell out too quickly.

Thanks, Deborah! Yes, it is. I think when people see “while supplies last,” they think, “buy 10!”
