Good Feelings of Home
I had so much fun creating today’s card. First, because I attended the Stampin’ Up!® “OnTour” event, I received a new stamp set from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog early. I got it even earlier than my expedited preorder! Stampin’ Up!® chose four sets for OnTour attendees to receive, and randomly chose a set for each demonstrator. My OnTour set was Good Feelings. This was also on my shopping list, so I was happy to get to cross it off my list and get it early- and free!!
This set is a “sentiment only” set, and the sentiments are large. I can think of a lot of fun things to do with it, because I love large sentiments. It also coordinates with the set of Fashionable Frames Dies. These dies and sentiments aren’t bundled, but they coordinate very well.
Here’s the card I made with the Good Feelings and Blessings of Home Stamp Sets. Blessings of Home, by the way, was introduced in the January – June Mini Catalog, but happily, the stamp set and coordinating Flowers of Home Dies are continuing to the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. And the bundled price is also carrying over!
I think it’s fun to stamp directly on Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used my Stamparatus so I could stamp several times and get a nice, dark image. First, I placed the sentiment stamp on the paper, so I’d know how much room I had for the flowers. Then I stamped the floral image from the Blessings of Home Stamp Set using Early Espresso Classic Ink on one of the In Good Taste DSP patterns. I love that I can stamp in any of our Classic Ink colors and still color with Stampin’ Blends without the ink bleeding. I turned the paper over and stamped just a piece of the image in the corner.
I colored the image using Rich Razzleberry, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. Then I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow Classic Ink. Again, I used my Stamparatus, because I always like to stamp sentiments with chubby solid letters more than once.
After I adhered the stamped layer to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ layer of Calypso Coral Cardstock, I added it to a Mossy Meadow card base. I loved the way the flowers looked on the woodgrain DSP, but I thought it needed something more so I added a bit of Clear Wink of Stella to accent the floral images.
You are going to love the new 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. It’s full of fun products and there’s something for everyone. But I will also be sharing some last chance products over the next few weeks. Lots of my favorites will be retiring May 3, and I don’t want you to miss out!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
