I had such a fun day today. My 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog preorder came today. As I was unpacking it, I organized my new 2022-2024 In Color Cardstock, attached the labels to my new In Color Classic Stampin’ Pads, and put my new Designer Series Paper into Stampin’ Up!® Logo Bags. And I even had time to make this card using the new Sending Smiles Bundle. The bundle includes the coordinating Sending Dies, but I saved 10% by purchasing the bundle instead of buying products individually.
This stamp set has flowers and sentiments, and you can stamp the word Sending. Instead, I used the coordinating “Sending” dies to die-cut the word from Parakeet Party Cardstock and the shadow from Starry Sky Cardstock. I stamped the Basic White die-cut label with the rest of the sentiment in Starry Sky Classic Ink.
Next, I stamped flowers, stems, and leaves from the stamp set using Orchid Oasis, Sweet Sorbet, and Parakeet Party Classic Ink. The centers of the Sweet Sorbet flowers are the lovely Glossy Dots that will be in the new catalog beginning May 3.
I love embossing folders, so I had to order the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. I used it on a piece of Tahitian Tide Cardstock, then adhered to a card base of Sweet Sorbet. I love how the ferns are very subtle.
As you can see, this card uses all five of the 2022-2024 In Colors from Stampin’ Up!® I did a little comparison with other colors. For example, the Sweet Sorbet looks a lot like Poppy Parade, but it really is pinker and lighter tyhan Poppy Parade.
I found a piece of retired Tempting Turquoise Cardstock to see how close it was to Tahitian Tide. Tempting Turquoise was much darker.
And I wanted to see how close Parakeet Party was to the retired Lemon Lime Twist and current Granny Apple Green. It’s lighter than Granny Apple Green, but much “greener” than Lemon Lime Twist.
I wasn’t sure how well these colors would coordinate when I first saw them, but they really do go together. They are all so bright and cheery, and I loved them at first sight. I can’t wait to use them with the New Horizons and Oceanfront Stamp Sets!
In case you didn’t notice, everything on this card except the Basic White Cardstock and the adhesive (Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Dimensionals) is brand new from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. That means that unless you’re a Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator, you won’t be able to order these products until May 3. If you can’t wait, though, you can always join my team and add them to your starter kit! The Starter Kit is only $99 (plus tax), and you can select $125 in product to add to it. Your $300 quarterly minimum won’t be due until September 30 (and you still have the month of October to make it up!), and there is a very fun virtual event in June that you can attend if you choose. But hurry! Registration for the Creativity Now Event closes April 19!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
