Beautiful Moments on the Horizon
Happy Monday, my friends! I have been playing with new ideas, and I am looking forward to sharing some tips and techniques in the next weeks. For today, though, I have a card using two of my favorite Stampin’ Up!® products – the New Horizons Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set. The DSP is from the Stampin’ Up!® January-June Mini Catalog, and the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set is in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
First, I stamped the image from the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set on a piece of Basic White Cardstock. Then I colored it with Stampin’ Blends. I love these markers! First, I colored the lady’s dress with Highland Heather markers, the flowers with Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss, her hair with Cinnamon Cider, and her arms with one of the Medium Light Natural Tones. Then I fussy cut the image.
I cut a piece of the New Horizons DSP to fit the front of a Highland Heather card base. I didn’t want to just plop the lady in the middle of a field with no other flowers, so I stamped some on the DSP using Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers. For fun, I added some birds in Misty Moonlight Classic Ink, and the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I CASEd this idea (copy and share everything) from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. The concept artist in the catalog image created his/her own sunrise (sunset?), but I really like using the DSP, don’t you? This paper is so beautiful and fun to use. Honestly, all you need for most of the designs is a sentiment, but there lovely stamps and dies in the On the Horizon Bundle that step the card up.
I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
