Waves of the Ocean
Stampin’ Up!® has a new early release from the upcoming 2022-23 Annual Catalog coming March 1. It’s the Waves of the Ocean Collection – and you’re going to love it. There’s the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set and Waves Dies, which you can purchase separately, but you’re really going to want to bundle them to save 10%. Also included in the collection (but offered only while supplies last) are the Waves of the Ocean Designer Series Paper (DSP), Blue Foils – six beautiful foil sheets in Silver, Coastal Cabana, and Night of Navy, and the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels. The DSP, foil sheets, and rhinestones will not be in the catalog, so you’ll want to order as soon as you can so you don’t miss out on this fabulous products.
Here’s a video from Stampin’ Up!® showcasing the collection.
Demonstrators could preorder this collection in February, so here’s a card I made using some of the products.
A fellow demonstrator, Tandra Boyer, shared this idea. Emboss the wave on Watercolor Paper with White Embossing Powder. Then simply drip ink refill behind and around the wave using your Water Brush. I used Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Fresh Freesia, Coastal Cabana, Polished Pink, and So Saffron. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray Classic Ink on Fresh Freesia Cardstock. Sadly, I just realized that punch is retired. (I really need to organize my supplies!) The seabirds are also stamped in Basic Gray.
I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the wave, but I don’t think it’s showing up in the photo. I used the Coastal Cabana Foil over Coastal Cabana Cardstock to finish the card. Before I adhered the foil to the card base, I cut a piece out of the center just a little smaller than the Watercolor Paper. That way, I still have a nice sized piece of foil to use later. Because it’s silly to waste it by having it covered up, don’t you think?

Buffy, this is wonderful! The white embossing is so prominent that the watercoloring really enhances it. Lovely

Wow, this is gorgeous, Buffy! I thought you had stamped the wave onto DSP. You created a beautiful background for that wave.
