Biggest Wish
I had one of the best days ever! Miss Amelia was out of school today, so I offered to hang out with her. We had such a good time. We finished a book we started reading a year ago. We would read it before school, but since I haven’t been taking her to school this year, our reading schedule got stalled. We were so happy to finish it today. It was from a mystery series that I loved when I was Amelia’s age, and we were both pleased that it had a satisfying ending.
We also spent some time (and money) on our town’s walking mall. Years ago, the city turned Main Street into an outdoor mall. Amelia loves it, and we had a blast checking out some of the local stores. As far as I can remember, there aren’t any “chain stores” downtown; they’re all locally owned.
We did a bunch of other stuff too, and I realized today that I’m old. Maybe it’s because she’s also older and more active, but I wasn’t this tired when she went home when she was a baby. Whew! She kept me hopping. And I made a note to go shopping for food before she comes over next time.
We ended the day with Amelia wow-ing me with her gymnastic skills. We were able to capture her performing a handstand and ending in a backbend on the trampoline. Amazing!
Here’s a fun and quick card we made in February classes.
This card features the Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Biggest Wish Stamp Set. The DSP is free with a $50 order during the Stampin’ Up!® Sale-a-bration. But hurry. It ends February 28!
I layered a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP to a Granny Apple Green card base. Then I added a Coastal Cabana strip down the side. It’s about 1-1/2″ x 5-1/4″. Before I adhered it, I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Gingham Embossing Folder to give it a little texture and more interest.
Finally, I stamped happy in Real Red and BIRTHDAY in Coastal Cabana on a Basic White Tailored Made Tags diecut and added a piece of Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon to the tag. Easy! And on days like today – full of activity and fun – I need easy!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day.
