One Final Christmas Project for 2021

One Final Christmas Project for 2021

It’s almost 2022, so I thought I’d share one final Christmas project with you. This was created by my dear friend Sandy. Some of my local stamping friends are members of a monthly swap. We’ve been doing it for several years, and it’s so much fun. I love getting the cards in the mail! We sign up for six months, then we can take a break or keep going for another six months. Sandy & I are the only ones who have joined every time.

Sandy is so artistic. Her cards are always so tastefully and beautifully done, and I am always thrilled when I see her return address on an envelope. This month, though, it was on a bubble mailer. Intrigued, I couldn’t wait to open it. This was inside.

Peaceful Cabin, Stampin' Up!

Isn’t that gorgeous? Sandy used my absolute favorite stamp set from the Stampin’ Up!® July-December Mini Catalog, Peaceful Cabin. This set is so versatile; I’ve made winter, fall, and summer cards with it. I didn’t get around to creating a spring card yet, but I will – just because. Sadly, even though this set seemed very popular, it’s retiring January 3. Actually, it’s already sold out, so it’s officially discontinued. I sell most of my retired stamp sets to make room for new ones, but this is one I’ll be keeping.

There are so many things about this ornament that I love. Look how she used a mask on the cabin so the trees are behind it. And the detail! You can see the trees through the porches. Perfect!! It’s hard to tell in the photo, but for the snow, she used a puff paint, so there’s a lot of texture. And there’s glitter on the evergreens and in the snow, so it feels really cold. And I love the little snowflake glitter she added.

Now you know why I get so excited when I see a card from Sandy in my mailbox! She is simply amazing.

I hope you have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve, and a healthy, happy, and blessed 2022. Mike & I are staying home this year so we can catch up on some things. I’m going to try to stay up, but Mike will probably be asleep by 9:30. Why knows, though? He may surprise me!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
