Hand-Penned for December

Hand-Penned for December

What is it about the new Stampin’ Up® January-June (aka Spring) Mini Catalog that makes me yearn for spring? I could live in an environment that was spring-like all the time. I love the warmth and just the smell of the air after a cold winter. Perhaps if I lived in that environment all the time it wouldn’t be as special. But my aunt lived in Miami, FL, for about 40 years, and she never tired of the tropical temperatures.

Still – I’ve had a super fun time playing with some of the products from the upcoming Mini Catalog and the Sale-a-bration products. I posted a couple of my favorites on my newsletter for January. If you’d like to see it, please ask to be added to my mailing list in the comments, and I’ll send it to you!

Today, I have a mix of old and new. The old is the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. The new is the Vellum Layering Designs paper in the January-June Mini Catalog. So fun!

Hand-Penned Petals, Stampin' Up!

Every month, some of my stamping friends and I participate in a swap. The participants change every month, but my friend Sandy and I have been participating since the beginning. (Check in to my blog on Friday to see Sandy’s amazing swap for December!) For my December card, I chose to use the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set.

I stamped the image three times in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I die-cut them with the coordinating Penned Flowers Dies (bundle the stamps and dies and save 10%) and colored them with Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Granny Apple Green, Pale Papaya, and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ blends.

I layered one of the new Vellum Layering Designs (4″ x 5-1/4″) on a granny Apple Green card base, then added the die-cut images using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment is also from the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set. I stamped it on a Stitched Rectangle Die in Granny Apple Green Classic Ink, then added it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Please drop by on Friday to see the swap I received from Sandy. I was totally in awe when I got it!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

(Note: The Vellum Layering Designs isn’t included in the product list since it will not be available until January 4.)
