Flourishing Mystery Pieces
Welcome to a new week, and a new month of “Mystery Pieces.” Here are the pieces we were given in November.
We received a piece of Evening Evergreen Cardstock, a Soft Succulent Cardstock base, some Genial Gems, Just Jade Gingham Ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, and Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Here’s my card.
I diecut some greenery using the Forever Flourishing Dies and Basic White Cardstock, and colored the leaves and stems on both sides with Stampin’ Blends, then set them aside.
I added a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Evening Evergreen Cardstock to the Soft Succulent card base, then added the Pansy Petals DSP. I cut another piece of the Pansy Petals DSP using the Scalloped Countour Dies and added that to the card.
I draped the ribbon to my card, then added my colored greenery and some pansies that I fussy cut from the DSP to the front of card.
I somehow lost some of my Genial Gems, but I added the one I found and some Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card as well.
Here’s Nadine’s card.
The Plentiful Plants Bundle is perfect with these pieces! I love how she added the flower basket to the bow. So clever!
This card is from Christy.
How awesome is that sentiment? I love how she used a stamp to “splatter” the tag with the sentiment.
Chris sent this one.
I love how Chris added the Potted Succulents Die-cut to the front of her card. It adds so much!
Here’s the front of Liz’s card.
This is such a fun fold – and I love how she coordinated the DSP with Christmas paper! Here’s the open card showing the fold.
Carol sent a masculine card.
Carol did an amazing job of turning the pieces into a card suitable for any man in her life. So nice!
And finally here’s Sandy’s card.
I love the floral border on the card as well as the vertical sentiment that mimics the border and the ribbon.
I’m – as always – so proud of my team! They are so clever and creative!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day.
Clever snd SO pretty (yours) and Nadine’s also.
So much and so little to work with! Each one was unique and nice – but you know how I am with “realism”!

Buffy those leaves are sooo pretty. Both you and Susan have tried that technique and I have yet to do so. Love the card(s)!

Thanks, Jackie! Yes, you do need to try that technique, especially since you’re the one who introduced us to it. Can’t wait to see what you do!

I know! It’s amazing how everyone has a different idea. Carol especially knocked it out of the park by not using any flowers!
