Pretty Pumpkins

Pretty Pumpkins

The calendar says autumn has arrived, but the temperatures didn’t feel like it. It was super warm last week – not that I’m complaining! But we’ve had days of rain, and Sunday, it was definitely starting to feel “fall-ish.” I actually had to wear real shoes.

When I was a kid, I was barefoot for most of the summer. The only time I wore shoes was to go to church and if we went shopping. When school started and I had to put shoes back on, I always felt like my feet were suffocating for a few weeks. Now that I’m older, I don’t go barefoot as much, but I do live in flip flops all summer, so it’s kind of the same thing. I’ll be sad to have to leave them in the closet for a few months, but I’m hoping I may get a few more weeks before they’re put away for the season.

Speaking of fall – I know I’ve said before that fall and spring are my favorite seasons. I think it’s because they’re mild and follow the extreme weather of summer and winter. I love when the leaves start turning colors in the fall as much as I love seeing the grass turning green and flowers popping up in the spring. I do love the crunch of leaves better than the chirping of spring birds – especially when they decide to sing in the early morning. And fall does have pumpkins and pumpkin pie and Thanksgiving, so that gives it a bit of an edge.

Speaking of pumpkins…Here’s the Make & Take from our recent Demonstrator Gathering. Liz Hamman was the Make & Take Hostess this month, and she hit it out of the park with the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle.

Pretty Pumpkins, Stampin' Up!

I love that she used two tones of foil (gold from the Annual Catalog and silver from the July-December Mini Catalog) for the Detailed Pumpkins Dies. And the sentiment from the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set is perfect for the season. If you purchase the bundle that includes the stamps and dies, you’ll save 10%, and, honestly, don’t you want those gorgeous dies? But look at the card stock layers. Early Espresso and Cajun Craze are so gorgeous together, don’t you think?

I hope wherever you live that you’re enjoying the change of seasons, and that you’ll be gathering with family – either live or virtually. Honestly, there is nothing like being with family!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Buffy, this is very pretty, with the mixed sparkle. I like the little caps by the sentiment

Very pretty card! I wish I could say the same for our weather – rain, cold – you’ve lucked out on your extended summer!
