Love of Leaves Birthday
It’s time for another Friday Stamp Off! This week, we’re making cards that were made with guys in mind.
My card uses the Love of Leaves Stamp set, and while I made it specifically as a “guy card,” it would actually work for anyone.
This is another card using the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (DSP). It’s free when you host a qualifying party or place a $180 minimum order. There are 48 sheets – 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. The piece I used is black and white, but I sponged Cinnamon Cider Classic Ink on it using a Blender Brush. After I finished adding color, I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
Next, I used the Stitched Leaves dies to cut the stitching into the Cinnamon Cider Layer. So fun! One pass through the machine did all that stitching. Remember when we had to pierce paper by hand? We have it so easy now.
For the leaf, I inked the stamp with Bumblebee Classic Ink. Before stamping, I added some Cajun Craze around the edges and the stem with a Sponge Dauber, then spritzed a little water on it to blend the ink colors together a bit, then stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock. The sentiment, from the Badger Besties Stamp Set, is also stamped on Very Vanilla with Cinnamon Cider ink.
After I added the leaf and sentiment to the DSP, I wrapped it with Linen Thread, then added it to the Cinnamon Cider layer, then to a Crushed Curry card base. There you go – a fun fall birthday card for a man. Or a woman, or even a teen.
Before you head off for your day, please check out what Susan and Jackie made for the guys in their lives. Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
